Our Story
Food For Life Wales is a project by Ty Krishna Cymru based in Cardiff Bay. It has been feeding those in need in South Wales with hot, nutritious, plant-based meals for over 20 years. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has adapted its service to be able to reach those who are self-isolating through daily meal deliveries.
Our main concern right now is to find those who are in need. Through leafleting and online promotion we are reaching everyone in Cardiff to make sure no one goes without a healthy meal. In our first delivery on the 25th March, we delivered about 30 meals. Today on 8th April, we are delivering 150 meals and the demand has been increasing day by day.
Partnerships
Even from before we started, we have been endeavouring to partner up with such organisations as Cardiff City Council, Cardiff Foodbank, Citizens Cymru, Meals on Wheels, Age Connects Cardiff and many others. We are also connected with the Feed the Heath and Feed the NHS projects to supply meals to the NHS staff and their families.
